The pipeline sector continued demonstrating its value for income investors after Enbridge (ENB) posted quarterly results.
Enbridge reported non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.75 in the fourth quarter. It expects 2025 DCF per share of between CAD 5.50 and CAD 5.90.
Moderna (MRNA) rebounded slightly after posting a Q4 EPS loss of $2.91. Revenue was $966 million (-65.6% Y/Y). For 2025, revenue is in the range of $1.5 billion to $2.5 billion. Shares did not react to the weak results. Instead, investors looked forward to the ongoing cost cuts. Operating expenses fell by $2.6 billion in 2024. Moderna holds $9.5 billion in cash and investments.
The company is focused on getting 10 of its products approved.
In the chip sector, Intel (INTC) traded as high as $25 last week but closed at $23.60. U.S. Vice-President Vance supports AI chip production in the U.S. Intel invested billions in manufacturing facilities. Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) is a potential partner that might run Intel’s U.S. factories.
In the medical devices industry, DexCom (DXCM) is on the mend after posting an 8% organic revenue growth rate in Q4 of $1.11 billion. The firm launched Stelo, an over-the-counter product. In just four months, the product has over 140,000 users.
In the gold sector, watch Kinross Gold (KGC). In Q4, the company produced over 500,000 ounces of gold. It expects to produce two million ounces in 2027.
