The suggestion involves distributing the block configuration process among all clients to ensure equality, positioning this approach as an alternative to the excessively centralized nature of the current system.
Technical Details of the Proposal
In the new system, Ethereum clients will generate blocks using a cryptographic random algorithm. Supported by the Byzantine Fault Tolerance method, this approach aims to reduce the effects of value extraction that can be evaluated at the block level. Structural changes may also improve transaction transmission times.
In the existing proof-of-stake model, certain block producers have been criticized for creating the majority of the blockchain, leading to centralization concerns.
