Ripple CEO Backs Larsen’s Decision
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse voiced support for Larsen’s choice, stating that everyone has the right to back the candidate they believe is best for the U.S. Moreover, he criticized the current administration’s stance on crypto and called for a policy shift.

Garlinghouse highlighted that Ripple remains committed to engaging with both Democrats and Republicans to push for crypto-friendly regulations. He noted that it’s not about political affiliations but about advancing policies that promote blockchain and crypto innovation.
Larsen’s financial backing for Harris includes three recent donations to Future Forward, a Super PAC supporting Harris. In September, Larsen donated nearly $10 million, following an earlier contribution of $1 million in XRP in August. His total donations have surpassed $11.8 million, making him one of the biggest individual contributors from the crypto sector to Harris’s campaign.
Ripple’s Broader Political Involvement
Ripple’s involvement in politics extends beyond Democratic candidates. Stuart Alderoty, recently made a significant $300,000 XRP donation to Trump 47 PAC, a group backing Donald Trump’s campaign.

Garlinghouse stressed that voters increasingly care about crypto and XRP, viewing it as a key policy issue. He warned that candidates who overlook the importance of blockchain and crypto risk losing support from an informed, growing voter base.
When asked about XRP’s future, Elon Musk avoided directly endorsing the currency but acknowledged that crypto’s role in promoting individual freedom holds potential benefits for the financial system.
